Sudan Reveals Efforts to Reduce Poverty and Unemployment
Khartoum – Ministry of Human Resources Development commended the items on 2013 agendas of the 102nd session of the International Labour Conference which include:
- Employment and social protection in the new demographic context (general discussion)
- Sustainable development, decent work and green jobs (general discussion)
- A recurrent discussion on the strategic objective of social dialogue.
Minister of Human Resources Development and Labour, Ishraqa Sayed Mahmoud affirmed that Sudan, like other countries, is passing crucial circumstances which require economical and social development besides creating new working opportunities.
While addressing the 102nd session of the International Labour Conference in Geneva yesterday, she stressed that Sudan is endeavouring to create more chances to employ the youth to reduce poverty and unemployment.
She called for studying the demographic trends in preparing the ambitious development plans.
